Partners and consults with a variety of departments and roles in the organization to analyze market and business trends and information and provide recommendations which can be utilized to drive strong business decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and completes routine data and reporting requests from internal stakeholders across the company, both promptly and accurately.
  • Works collaboratively with others to identify and understand the business problem, question(s) and/or data need.
  • Executes, interprets and updates existing reports. 
  • Documents project work, queries and correspondence to facilitate and streamline related work requests going forward.
  • Works with internal stakeholders to understand various data sources and ensure quality and accuracy of the data and alignment with project needs.
  • Performs data validation and cleansing.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities in areas such as data collection and validation.
  • Works collaboratively with other team members in the building and testing of survey designs within survey tools to collect data from various audiences.
  • Uses knowledge of data and business processes to make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to learn new knowledge and skills.
  • Actively contributes to evaluation of possible solutions to problems.
  • Serves as a cultural steward and positive role model by representing ARAG at Its Best and Leadership at Its Best.

Qualifications (including experience and education)


  • Basic data querying capabilities.
  • Knowledge of data structures and relationships.
  • Understanding of processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of and experience with business intelligence reporting and data visualization tools (MicroStrategy preferred).
  • Baseline understanding of marketing research survey design is preferred.


  • Experience using SQL to perform data queries is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook).
  • Able to take ownership and independently manage projects from initiation through execution to completion.
  • Experience with data cleansing and validation.
  • Ability to interact with all functions and levels in the organization.
  • Ability to translate complex data and concepts into language and visualizations that can be readily understood by business stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand business issues and provide guidance and recommendations from a BI perspective.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate analysis to diverse audiences. 
  • Detail-oriented and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using R or Python for data analysis preferred.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Salesforce, and Qualtrics preferred.
  • Ability to understand business partners’ marketing research needs and apply basic research survey design to address and/or dialogue with team members on strategy preferred.


Four year college degree in business, accounting, economics, statistics, computer science, business intelligence or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.


Minimum of 4 years of experience.
