Des Moines, IA (April 21, 2020) – ARAG® is excited to announce its continued support of nonprofits who are working to close the Access to Justice gap in the United States. 2020 marks the third year the ARAG A2J Award will award $1250 each to three nonprofits across the nation who are helping Americans get the legal help they need.
“We’re very encouraged to see many improvements and startups aimed at bridging the gap between the millions of people who have unmet legal needs and the attorneys who can help them,” says Jean Clauson, ARAG Legal Industry Advocate. “By continuing to offer this award, we’re facilitating some of the exciting developments in the legal industry through nonprofits who are working on innovative ways to improve the current system.”
ARAG invites nonprofits who are interested in nominating their organization for the 2020 A2J Award to submit a brief summary of your organization and how the award will help support your access to justice initiatives. Submissions should be sent to kala.anderson@ARAGlegal.com by April 29, 2020.
Winners of the ARAG A2J Award will be announced the week of April 29 in conjunction with National Law Day (May 1) celebrations.
Official Rules:
The ARAG A2J Award will be awarded to (3) three nonprofit organizations that are working to close the Access to Justice gap in America. Each winning organization will receive $1,250 to support their work closing the justice gap. To be eligible to enter your organization must be designated as a 501c3 non-profit that is working to close the access to justice gap in America. To enter submit a brief (up to 250 word) summary about your organization including detail on how the award will help support your access to justice initiatives to kala.anderson@ARAGlegal.com. Nominations must be submitted by 12:00am April 29, 2020. Winners are selected by a cross panel of ARAG team members based on current and potential impact to aid access to justice for consumers. Notification of winners: Recipients of the ARAG A2J Award will receive a confirmation email from ARAG the week of April 30th. Winners will also be announced on ARAG’s social media accounts (Twitter/LinkedIn) in conjunction with National Law Day (May 1) celebrations. Monetary awards will be provided via a check issued to the designated non-profit organization.
