Recognizing Nonprofits Who Are Working to Close the Access to Justice Gap in America

Des Moines, IA (April 10, 2018) – ARAG® announced today the creation of a new award that will support nonprofits working to close the Access to Justice gap in the United States. The ARAG Access to Justice (A2J) Award will reward $1,250 each to three nonprofits anywhere in the United States who are helping Americans get the legal help they need.

“ARAG has long been a champion of bridging the gap in America between the millions of people with unmet legal needs and the attorneys who can help them,” says Jean Clauson, ARAG Legal Industry Advocate. “This award is another way to help close the gap by supporting some of the exciting work being done in the legal industry by nonprofits working on innovative ways to improve the system.”

Those interested in nominating their organization for the ARAG A2J Award should submit a brief summary of your organization and how the award will help support your access to justice initiatives. Submissions should be sent to by April 20, 2018.

Winners of the ARAG A2J Award will be announced the week of April 30 in conjunction with National Law Day (May 1) celebrations.
