How to Make Justice Accessible to All Americans

The United States ranked 94 out of 113 countries for overall accessibility and affordability of civil justice in 2016. Organizations such as the American Bar Association, state bar associations and the Conference of Chief Justices have studied the "access to justice gap" and offered solutions to bridge the gap.

Among the solutions offered: legal insurance. The legal insurance industry is partnering with attorneys and the legal industry to:

  • Improve people's awareness of everyday matters as legal issues that could benefit from an attorney's guidance.
  • Increase access – of attorneys to potential clients and potential clients to attorney.
  • Remove the cost barrier so that more Americans can use attorneys, thereby helping attorneys grow their practice.
  • Provide the service excellence that 21st-century consumers have grown to expect.
